Having The Opportunity To Speak To Jeremy Stutsman, The Mayor Of Goshen, Indiana

Updated: Mar 14, 2021

On March 3rd at 9:30 AM, PWCP had the pleasure to talk to the Mayor of Goshen, Indiana of Indiana and got his insight on the Children's Parliaments.

As Mr. Stutsman spoke to us, he told us that he applies the concept of hearing children's ideas and created a group of children which functions very much like a children's parliament would. There were other leaders from Indiana there varying from all ages who listened to the process of consent and loved the idea of it. We listened to a girl who goes to school in Indiana who used consent-based decisions in her school to create change. She informed us that it was successful and that she will move forward with consent-based decisions in the future. It was a wonderful experience to speak to these leaders and introduce them to the idea of using consent-based decision making and hearing how they applied it in their local programs!
